earing a white apron, was steaming fish. In this hot kitchen, her hair was tied up, exposing her fair skin. A few sweat drops hung by her ears, obviously showing how hard she was working.Seeing Hao Re...Chapter One: I Ate a Lollipop

The sky was enveloped in dark clouds, and the gloomy heavens seemed to be pressing lower and lower. Distant thunder rumbled faintly, with flashes of lightning dancing within the clouds.

It seemed as though at any moment, several bolts of lightning would split open the overcast sky, creating jagged fractures across its dark expanse.

"Bad luck!" Looking up at the ominous weather that presaged an impending storm, Hao Ren took a deep breath of the stifling air and quickened his pace towards the small convenience store 300 meters ahead.

If not for the educational supermarket in the dormitory complex being under renovation and closed, if not for him having lost three consecutive times when playing rock-paper-scissors, he would never have been running out wearing pajamas and slippers to buy cigarettes. He had originally been lying down reading a book when they insisted on playing cards.

Another rumble of thunder rolled in from afar; Hao Ren hurriedly shuffled forward with his slippers, trying to speed up even more.

"Ah..." Just as Hao Ren was about to quicken his pace further, he heard a girl's scream come from above him.

He looked up curiously and jumped in fright: A woman had dropped from high up!

To make matters worse, she seemed to be plummeting straight towards his head!

"Damn..." Hao Ren quickly took a step back, spreading his legs apart as he adopted a standard horse stance with both hands extended outward.

Thud!

The girl landed heavily in Hao Ren's arms; his horse stance sank another ten centimeters deeper, nearly toppling him over. Her head smashed into Hao Ren’s mouth, almost knocking out several of his teeth.

Gurgle... From the girl’s little mouth dropped something that slid right down her throat and through Hao Ren’s still-open jaw into his own throat!

Sweet, slippery, and small... Hao Ren didn't have time to react when something candy-like dropped into his stomach.

Hao Ren had no time to care what he ate; while still feeling traumatized and numb in his hands, he looked down to see a female student wearing junior high school uniform drop into his arms.

Dark eyelashes, short pigtail, youthful figure, sky blue school uniform, and the emblem of Lingzhao Middle School... Honestly speaking, this little girl was quite pretty...

"Oh!" After two seconds, she seemed to react and screamed as she opened her eyes. A pair of alert black eyeballs looked at Hao Ren, and suddenly she struggled to stand up.

Hao Ren's legs were numb from the impact and couldn't support him anymore. Looking around, there didn't seem to be any high-rise buildings nearby; he had no idea where this girl fell from.

After standing up, the girl touched her body, rubbed her nearly swollen lips, then saw the red mark on Hao Ren's mouth, and suddenly blushed as she struck him on the neck.

"Hey... I saved you." Before Hao Ren could finish his sentence, that girl had already run far away.

Modern little girls have great resilience. Falling from such a height yet unharmed Hao Ren watched her rapidly disappearing figure and touched his neck; thankfully, the blow wasn't too hard and she spared me by not hitting my face.

Hao Ren then touched his lips but couldn’t recall any sensation resembling a kiss.

Already in university sophomore year, haven't even had a girlfriend yet. Truly a failure... Hao Ren patted his thigh, stood up, and looked up again; he suddenly noticed that the clouds were quickly dispersing, allowing fine rays of sunlight to shine through.

What strange weather; I thought it was going to rain heavily. Hao Ren muttered to himself as he didn't bother arguing with that girl earlier, walked to a convenience store and bought two decks of cards before rushing back to the south campus dormitory.

"It took you forever to buy some cards! Hurry up!" His three roommates shouted when they saw Hao Ren return.

Hao Ren threw the two decks of cards on the table, "You guys play; I'm not playing."

"Something wrong Unhappy" The dorm leader Zhao Jiayin in a white t-shirt asked. "Didn't we agree that whoever lost would go buy cards"

"A bit dizzy..." Hao Ren said as he climbed up to his top bunk.

"Damn! We agreed to play cards together!" Zhao Jiayin looked displeased.

"Are you okay" Another roommate, Zhou Liren, looked at Hao Ren with concern.

"I'm not sure, I feel a bit unwell." Hao Ren held his chest and wondered if it was because he caught the female student's head, causing internal injuries.

"Should we... take you to the medical room for a check-up" Zhao Jiayin looked at Hao Ren's face and felt something wasn't right, becoming increasingly anxious.

"It's fine, I tripped when buying cards." Hao Ren pointed to his slightly swollen chin. In reality, it was hit by the female student’s head.

"Rest well then. Since it isn’t raining anymore, we three will go to an internet cafe to play games," Cao Ronghua, one of the trio, said.

"Go ahead." Hao Ren waved at them with no energy left.

Zhao Jiayin was still worried and said, "If anything happens, give me a call."

"..." Hao Ren threw off his shoes and crawled under the covers.

The four bachelor roommates had nothing better to do but play cards or game on computers. Hao Ren sighed; he really did feel dizzy and fell asleep immediately.

When he woke up again, it was already six o'clock in the evening, with a box meal placed on his desk. It was brought back by Zhao Jiayin and the others from the internet cafe for him to eat.

The sound of card playing faintly came through two doors away; they had moved to the opposite room to play cards so as not to disturb Hao Ren's rest.

Truly good friends... Hao Ren rubbed his head, climbed down from his bunk and went to get the box meal.

As he reached out, it was as if he suddenly got an electric shock; his whole body stiffened. In the dim dorm room, he clearly saw a circle of bluish skin appearing near his right wrist!

Hao Ren felt like his heart stopped for five seconds. He pulled back the curtains and nervously raised his arm.

The blue, scale-like tattoo spread from his wrist all the way up to his shoulder!

Thinking it was an illusion, Hao Ren rubbed furiously but couldn’t erase it.

Frozen with dread, he stripped off his clothes and turned repeatedly in front of the mirror, checking if any other skin had changed like that.

Creak… The door suddenly opened. Three laughing roommates walked in.

"Damn! You’re a pervert!" Zhao Jiayin couldn’t help shouting upon seeing Hao Ren stark naked and turning repeatedly before the mirror.

“N-no…” Hao Ren hurriedly grabbed his clothes and covered himself, explaining nervously. "I feel like my body hurts somewhere, so I’m checking if there are any bruises."

"If you’re not feeling well, let me take you to the infirmary," Zhao Jiayin said, genuinely concerned.

“No need, it’s nothing serious,” Hao Ren didn’t want to tell them about his skin turning strange; he was too anxious and unsure of what to do.

"I see you have a desire for streaking. How about we go take a bath together tonight" Zhou Liren sidled up and said to Hao Ren.

“You wanna streak!” Hao Ren glared at him, put on his clothes and covered his wrist with the sleeve. "I’m going out for a bit. You guys can play around in here."

"Not eating then" Zhao Jiayin pointed to the box lunch he had bought specifically for Hao Ren.

“No appetite!” Hao Ren ran out of there.ontent was comprehensive yet dull in comparison to Hao Ren's teaching method."And this group decomposition is one of your weak points..." Hao Ren pointed at the materials and explained item by item wi...
