Chapter 7: Apply What You Have Learned

their faces looking so good, they must have succeeded!"No," Yun Qianyue shook her head and pulled back the curtain herself, getting into the carriage before Rong Jing.Xiange was taken aback. How could...Chapter 7: Putting Knowledge into Practice

The loud and joyful noise suddenly ceased.

Yun Qianyue abruptly turned her head to look in the direction of the sound, only to see Rong Jing had arrived here without her notice. He was standing a short distance behind her wearing a moon white brocade robe that seemed rather thin; with the cold wind blowing, his black hair and clothes fluttered around him. In just a few days, he had apparently lost weight and looked even more delicate. His eyes gazed at her in an aloof manner as if she had deserted him despite how elegant he appeared. The snowball she held dropped to the ground with a "tap". She was about to rush over when she remembered his hateful behavior, causing her heartache to subside momentarily. Frowning, she asked, “Why are you here”

Rong Jing originally saw Yun Qianyue rushing towards him and his eyes lit up for an instant. But seeing that she had stopped in her tracks, the brilliance vanished suddenly as if a dark cloud covered his gaze; he softly replied, "Yun Qianyue, you haven’t seen me for days and your first question is this"

Yun Qianyue’s heart tightened unexpectedly, making it impossible to release her anger.

"So you’re Prince Rong Jing. I thought it was some silly person who took so long to find their way here!" Feng Jin threw away the snowball in his hand and patted off the snow on him as he walked over with a mocking look at Rong Jing.

Everyone simultaneously threw down their snowballs, as they had heard of Prince Rong Jing’s name but never met him. Now, however, everyone stared at him unblinkingly, thinking that this was Prince Rong Jing after all.

"With such a heavy snowfall sealing the mountain, it must have been quite difficult for Prince Rong Jing to come here after the snow," Yu Zishu flicked off some snow from his body and smiled as he spoke.

Hmph, "It’s already several days. I thought you were capable of great feats but turns out you’re nothing special." Feng Jin gave a cold snort in reply.

"After this long snowball fight, everyone is tired. Let's head back for some hot tea," Yu Zishu patted Feng Jin on the shoulder and motioned to the others with his eyes.

Hearing these words, all the people immediately turned their gaze away from Rong Jing, looked at one another and followed Yu Zishu’s suggestion by leaving.

"Don’t forget you promised to cook!" Feng Jin glanced back at Yu Zishu, threw a remark at Yun Qianyue, then left with the others for the nearby houses.

Yu Zishu chuckled and walked over. He gently said to Yun Qianyue, "Qianyue, it’s enough now! These few days he must have eaten poorly and slept badly. Don’t torment him anymore."

Yun Qianyue turned her gaze towards Yu Zishu.

Yu Zishu winked at Yun Qianyue before following Feng Jin and the others away.

In no time, the area was empty except for Yun Qianyue and Rong Jing.

Rong Jing’s eyes never left Yun Qianyue. It seemed he had not even heard what Feng Jin or Yu Zishu said just now; his gaze remained dark and profound as if she were the one who had wronged him by deserting him rather than the other way around.

Yun Qianyue looked at Rong Jing. Under this piercing gaze, she lost her temper and snapped back, "I am still angry!"

Suddenly, Rong Jing beckoned to Yun Qianyue, "Come over here."

"Why can’t you come over here instead" Yun Qianyue stood rooted to the spot.

“Fine, I’ll go,” Rong Jing took a step towards Yun Qianyue.

Yun Qianyue watched him walk toward her. The wind blew his clothes and sleeves around as he moved. He looked so thin that it made her uncomfortable to see; she shouted out angrily, “How many days have you not eaten”

"I haven’t been able to eat properly or sleep well," Rong Jing stood before Yun Qianyue and accused softly, "Yun Qianyue, you look like you don’t care about me at all."

“Who said so! I...” Yun Qianyue wanted to argue back but stopped short. She snapped angrily, “You made me so furious that my lungs nearly burst; why would I think of you I wish we were far apart!”

Rong Jing didn’t speak and stared at her with his deep gaze.

Yun Qianyue rolled her eyes and turned to leave. The moment she moved, Rong Jing seized her wrist; he called out softly, "Qianyue, you don't want me, but I still miss you."

Yun Qianyue’s feet halted in their tracks as something exploded inside her heart. She couldn’t help curling the corners of her mouth up and was about to say something when she suddenly felt Rong Jing's grip on her wrist burning hot. Startled, she turned back to ask, “Why are you so hot”

Rong Jing opened his mouth as if he wanted to speak but then collapsed onto the ground.

"Rong Jing!" Yun Qianyue was alarmed and immediately reached out a hand to support him.

Rong Jing staggered slightly, leaning against Yun Qianyue to stand up.

“What’s wrong with you” Yun Qianyue anxiously looked at him as she held his wrist. When her pulse check revealed that his pulse was extremely weak, her expression changed and she said, "Have you caught a fever"

Rong Jing hummed softly, seemingly lacking energy. His body leaned against Yun Qianyue's body as he whispered, "It’s just a fever; it’s not a big deal. Don’t worry."

"You have such a high fever! You still say it’s no big deal" Yun Qianyue couldn't help but shout angrily at him.

Rong Jing didn't respond and looked at her with his deep eyes.

Yun Qianyue, unable to vent her anger anywhere else, shouted in frustration, "Qingying!"

No one came out after she called.

Right before Yun Qianyue was about to shout again, Rong Jing shook his head at her weakly and said, “Don’t call him. I didn’t let him follow me."

Hearing this, Yun Qianyue glared at him fiercely. On such a cold day, she wore thick clothes and an ermine cloak but could still feel the heat radiating from his body. He had actually come here despite being so ill. She was too furious to express her anger and resentment properly. After a while, she shouted towards the front, "Zishu, come back!"

Yuzishu and Feng Jin were already far away but Yun Qianyue’s voice carried very well. Yuzishu had sharp hearing and turned around when he heard her call.

"He caught a fever; you must return quickly," Yun Qianyue explained to Yuzishu.

Yuzishu hurried back upon hearing this, followed by Feng Jin.

Yun Qianyue released Rong Jing and reached out to undo her cloak. Rong Jing stopped her hand and shook his head, "You just sweated from your exertion; removing it now might cause you to catch a cold."

"Why not Then I’ll be together with you," Yun Qianyue snapped.

A corner of Rong Jing's mouth curved into a smile. His deep eyes softened, and in a very gentle voice he said, "Yun Qianyue, are you no longer angry at me"

"Of course I’m still angry! I almost died from anger," Yun Qianyue shot him a glance before opening his hand.

Rong Jing held her hand tightly. His voice was low and soothing, "Won’t you stop being mad Right now, I don’t have the energy to comfort you; after my strength returns, can I take your beating"

Yun Qianyue’s anger dissipated greatly as she stared at him sternly. "How did you manage to get yourself into this condition Don't tell me you truly went out in the snow looking for me because you missed me; I'd strangle you if that were true."

Rong Jing shook his head with a smile, but then he couldn’t help coughing.

Seeing him cough made Yun Qianyue even more uncomfortable than when she was sick. She could only pat his back.

A short while later, Rong Jing stopped coughing and whispered, "I didn't venture out in the snow to find you; I simply couldn’t sleep because of worry for you, and caught a fever."

Yun Qianyue glared at him. Seeing Yuzishu and Feng Jin approaching, she immediately said, "Zishu, quickly examine him; his temperature seems very high—probably 40 degrees."

Yuzishu nodded and took Rong Jing's wrist.

Rong Jing moved slightly as if to dodge but didn't. He leaned weakly against Yun Qianyue with a faint smile, "Yun Qianyue, I'm well versed in medicine; it’s just a minor fever, no need for excessive worry."

"You’d best shut up! From now on, don’t talk to me," Yun Qianyue glared at him.

Rong Jing immediately stopped talking as soon as he heard this.

"I think you won't die!" Feng Jin sneered at Rong Jing’s appearance. "Just trying to seek sympathy."

Rong Jing glanced at Feng Jin but didn’t respond.

Yun Qianyue couldn’t take it anymore. She retorted angrily, "Swap places with him See if he can get sympathy from me"

Feng Jin was instantly infuriated upon hearing this, "Foolish woman! Don't you know what a cold heart and blackened soul looks like Other people might not be capable of such acts, but him—nothing is impossible."

Yun Qianyue frowned and turned to look at Rong Jing. He had lowered his head with an ashen face, saying nothing, appearing about to collapse from exhaustion due to the fever. She thought he was too weak to argue with Feng Jin and so she looked back at him angrily, "Right now, you must return immediately and have someone boil hot water to expel the cold."

"Pathetic! Such a minor ailment makes you react like this; I think you’ll never leave his grasp in your lifetime," Feng Jin glared at Yun Qianyue with disappointment before turning away.

She didn't want to fly out of his palm anyway! Yun Qianyue thought to herself but did not say it aloud.

Rong Jing's long eyelashes trembled slightly.

Yu Zishu took Rong Jing's pulse for a moment, then withdrew his hand and glanced at him. His gaze flickered briefly before he turned to Yun Qianyue and said, "The symptoms of cold and fever are quite serious, but with timely treatment, there should be no major issues. You take him back to the room first, let him soak in hot water to dispel the cold, while I go up the mountain to gather medicine for him."

"There's no medicine here" Yun Qianyue looked at Yu Zishu upon hearing this.

"There is some medicine, but they are ordinary drugs that won't heal quickly. At the top of the mountain, there are a few excellent medicines for dispelling cold and fever. I'll go gather them to help him recover faster," Yu Zishu explained.

Yun Qianyue nodded and instructed, "After the heavy snowfall, the mountains will be very slippery. Be careful."

"Yes!" Yu Zishu nodded, lightly pressing his toes against the ground to head up the mountain.

Seeing Yu Zishu leave, Yun Qianyue supported Rong Jing and said, "I'll take you back to your room."

Rong Jing gave a gentle response.

Yun Qianyue used her light-footed skills to carry Rong Jing towards a building ahead.

Back in the room, Yun Qianyue helped Rong Jing sit on a soft couch and undid his cloak before placing it aside. She said to him, "Rest here for a while; I'll see if Feng Jin has arranged for hot water."

"He will definitely do as you instructed," Rong Jing held onto Yun Qianyue's hand tightly and whispered, "Yun Qianyue, I've been missing you. Can you stay with me"

Looking at him, his gaze locked on her intensely. She could only sit down beside him; she tried to put up a stern face but couldn't do it anymore. She gave him an angry look and said, "If you know I would miss you so much, why did you send me away in the first place"

Rong Jing sighed. "That day was really..."

"Forget about it; no need to explain! You wanted Night Tianyi to give up on me, right Did he finally lose hope" Yun Qianyue stopped him and asked.

Rong Jing shook his head with a dark expression. "I'm afraid the opposite happened. I underestimated his determination towards you."

Yun Qianyue frowned; did that mean Night Tianyi still hadn't given up She felt cold inside, realizing this meant she had only one path left, a path she was least willing to take.

Rong Jing tightened her hand and whispered, "Trust me, Yun Qianyue."

The chill in Yun Qianyue's heart eased as she glanced at him. "How can I trust you with your weak body that falls over from even a slight wind You might not be able to hold up if I put you on my head."

Rong Jing suddenly smiled, his voice somewhat weak: "I'm not as weak as you say."

Yun Qianyue snorted.

Feng Jin pushed the door open and entered. Seeing them chatting, he rolled his eyes and looked at the two of them with disgust. He said in a bad mood, "The water has arrived; hurry up and take a bath. With such weak health, I doubt he'll survive for long. Stupid woman, you should find someone else. I bet anyone's body would be better than his."

Behind Feng Jin were two people carrying steaming hot water.

"Place it behind the screen!" Yun Qianyue ignored Feng Jin and instructed the others.

The two men carried the water behind the screen.

"You go in too!" Yun Qianyue pushed Rong Jing.

Rong Jing sat still, whispering, "I have no strength; come with me."

Yun Qianyue stood up and pulled him towards the other side of the screen.

"Stupid woman! Haven't you married him yet Are your brains rusted Now you're doing everything for him like a servant" Feng Jin disliked Yun Qianyue's pampering of Rong Jing.

Yun Qianyue pretended not to hear and continued walking in.

Rong Jing turned back and looked at Feng Jin. Though his gaze was faint, it carried hidden meaning. He spoke quietly, "Feng Clan Chief, I received a letter from the elder leader of our clan today, saying you have been matched with someone in marriage; he asked for my opinion and I thought highly of it. You must not know yet, congratulations in advance!"

Feng Jin's expression changed as he angrily said, "Where did this come from

"You need to ask the old master Feng about that!" Rong Jing casually threw out this sentence before stepping behind a screen.

Feng Jin stared hard at the falling screen for a moment, then suddenly turned and walked out of the door. The door slammed shut behind him with a loud bang. Two people who had just come out from behind the screen carrying buckets of water jumped in surprise and quickly opened the door again to go outside.

Yun Qianyue looked back at Rong Jing, "What you said is true"

Rong Jing weakly made a sound of agreement, "Not entirely false!"

What kind of ridiculous answer was this! Yun Qianyue glared at him and reached out to unbutton his clothes.

Rong Jing stood quietly, looking down at Yun Qianyue as her fingers deftly undid the buttons on his chest and untied his belt. When she started undoing his soft robe, he suddenly stopped her hand and said softly, "Forget it, I'll soak myself! If something were to happen, I wouldn't have the strength now, right"

Yun Qianyue laughed out loud, giving him a look and letting go of his hand. "Then you wash yourself! I don’t want to regret anything for life either." With that, she turned around and walked behind the screen.

Rong Jing let out a soft sound of complaint and muttered something as he slipped off his robe and sank into the steaming wooden tub. The water instantly enveloped him, and he closed his eyes tiredly.

Yun Qianyue walked behind the screen and suddenly looked back at him, just catching sight of his weary-closed eyes. She felt a pang in her heart, thinking that although there had been heavy snow these days and Emperor Ren's death, since he was appointed Chancellor now, it was bound to be very busy and tiring. Suddenly she regretted staying here for so many days without going back even when she was angry.

"Stupid woman! I'm leaving!" Feng Jin shouted from outside.

Yun Qianyue was taken aback, opening the door to see Feng Jin standing in the courtyard with a bag on his back and a sword at his waist. She raised an eyebrow, "So eager to leave Do you really believe what he said"

"Whether I do or not, it's time for me to go! Anyway, ever since he came here, there's no room in your eyes for me. What’s the point of staying” Feng Jin snorted and reached into his chest to pull out something and threw it at Yun Qianyue. "Catch, this is a gift I prepared for you during Coming-of-Age."

Yun Qianyue caught the flying object in her hand, looking down to see a pair of hairpins. They weren’t ordinary ones but made of purple crystals shaped like crescent moons and didn't look like they had been intricately crafted by skilled artisans, but more like something someone had made themselves. She looked up as Feng Jin was already turning away; she called out "Hey."

Feng Jin stopped in his tracks, “What now Don’t you like them Even if you don’t like them, don't throw them away!”

"I want to tell you that I really like them!" Yun Qianyue said with a smile.

Feng Jin’s lips curled slightly without turning back. He warned her, "You better show some backbone! Some people are foxes, even more cunning than foxes, and if he ever dares to bully you again, go to the East Sea. I think Prince Jade is a good catch, far superior to him. Don’t tell me your taste is that bad for picking someone like him. You're making a fool of yourself!"

Yun Qianyue was speechless and wanted to ask the First Master Feng why choosing Rong Jing made her look bad in his eyes, but unfortunately, he gave her no chance as he lightly pressed his toes against the ground and used light-footed skills to dash towards the cliff. In an instant, he was at the wall, skillfully climbing up vines with great agility.

Yun Qianyue watched Feng Jin leave, feeling a sense of reluctance that she forced herself to suppress. She could face partings coldly in her previous life but now felt the most unwilling to see anyone who had been kind to her depart.

"Yun Qianyue, you're letting cold air blow into the room with the door open, and the water is getting cold," Rong Jing's voice came from inside the room, somewhat reproachful.

Hearing this, Yun Qianyue quickly entered the room, closing the door behind her and told him, "Feng Jin has left."

Rong Jing made a sound of agreement. "It’s about time he did."

Yun Qianyue thought it was true and didn't say anything more. Seeing that there were fewer coals in the stove, she quickly added some charcoal.

"Yun Qianyue, have you forgotten something I asked for" Rong Jing asked quietly after a moment.

“What is it” Yun Qianyue raised an eyebrow.

"You promised me before. Did you forget" Rong Jing reminded her. Yun Qianyue pretended to think about it and shook her head, puzzled. "Did I promise something Why can’t I remember!"

Rong Jing suddenly fell silent.

Yun Qianyue squatted by the stove, biting her lip to suppress a laugh.

"That white jade dragon is in Prince Rong’s stable. If you’ve forgotten about it, that's too bad! I seem to have also forgotten what I promised." A soft sigh came from behind the screen after a moment.

Yun Qianyue’s eyes lit up at hearing this; she immediately replied, "Ah, I remember now. That lovebird pouch I made it long ago but left it in Yun王府. When I get back, I'll give it to you."

"Trading a sachet for that jade dragon doesn’t seem like a good deal," Rong Jing said softly.

“Plus me!” Yun Qianyue quickly added another offer.

"It depends on who it is!" Rong Jing said.

"Me!"

Rong Jing's voice seemed to carry a hint of amusement, "Deal!"

Yun Qianyue mourned for herself briefly and then quickly focused all her thoughts on the Jade Snow Flying Dragon. The best horse in the world was the Jade Snow Flying Dragon; riding it felt like flying. She couldn't wait to tell Rong Jing, "Let's return to the capital now!"

The screen behind fell silent.

"Can we" Yun Qianyue prodded, she wanted to see the Jade Snow Flying Dragon.

After a moment, he said, "Yun Qianyue, I still have a fever."

Right, he was still running a fever! Yun Qianyue deflated instantly. With how severe his fever was, of course he couldn't travel. She suppressed her intense interest and addressed the screen behind, "Get well soon!"

Rong Jing's pleasing voice answered casually, "Alright."

Hearing such a pleasant voice, Yun Qianyue's mind shifted back to Rong Jing from the Jade Snow Flying Dragon. She stared at him through the screen, where he was only a vague silhouette in the wooden tub. The scene resembled a gorgeous painting and turned the pale landscape on the screen into a patch of clouds and rosy sky. As she gazed at it, her heart suddenly became dazed.

Seemingly aware that Yun Qianyue's gaze was upon him, Rong Jing fell silent behind the screen.

The room door opened from outside as Yuzishu walked in with a cool breeze following him. Yun Qianyue shifted her gaze away from the screen and slowly turned back to face Yuzishu, pretending to be fine as she asked, "Zishu, have you collected the herbs"

"Yes! I've collected them," replied Yuzishu with a nod.

Yun Qianyue hurried over and took the herbs from his hand, looking at them in surprise. "He merely has a fever. Yet, you managed to collect... so many precious herbs"

"It's not just that he has a fever; his body is extremely weak as well," Yuzishu explained as he walked to the desk and began writing out prescriptions with ink and brush. "I should take this opportunity to strengthen him."

Yun Qianyue rummed through the herbs, checking them over carefully. Considering that the person was of such high status, even his fever medication would be of premium quality. Still, she wanted him to recover quickly; thus, she told Yuzishu, "You write out the prescription while I clean these herbs." After hearing his response, she quickly left with the herbs, then said from outside the room, "Feng Jin has left."

Yuzishu glanced out and smiled warmly. "I know!"

Without further ado, Yun Qianyue headed to the small kitchen.

In the room, Yuzishu's brush strokes made a rustling sound as they fell onto the paper; shortly after, he put down his pen and gently blew on the ink traces. He then spoke towards the screen behind: "Making yourself sick so that she feels remorseful is the stupidest thing you could do. Young Marquis Jing, don't you think"

A rustling sound came from behind the screen as Rong Jing seemed to be dressing after coming out of the wooden tub; he replied slowly, "Stupidity isn't a big deal as long as it works. There's someone who has grown accustomed to my carefree nature and can't bear seeing me suffer even a bit."

"Even calculating this would desecrate your feelings towards each other" Yuzishu raised an eyebrow.

“Hasn’t the Prince of Jade heard that love needs nurturing” Rong Jing walked out from behind the screen with a somewhat flushed face. Despite his weak steps, they were steady; he smiled lightly and said, “Oh yes, she taught me this. I’m such an eager learner, naturally I have to put it into practice.”

Yuzishu stared at Rong Jing closely for a while before saying, "No wonder…"

Rong Jing raised an eyebrow.

"No wonder you managed to win her heart," Yuzishu smiled, looking at Rong Jing with some amusement. “Young Marquis Jing, planning step by step and scheming in this way must have been very tiring”

“It wasn’t too exhausting!” Rong Jing slowly sat on the soft couch and said while looking at the blazing stove inside the room: "I enjoyed every moment of it."

Yuzishu glanced at him and didn't say anything more. He took the medicine prescription and walked out.

The door was pushed open, a cold breeze blew in before closing again, blocking out the chill outside. Rong Jing closed his eyes as he leaned against the soft couch, revealing a soft smile on his lips.

Half an hour later, Yun Qianyue returned to the room with medicine and saw that Rong Jing was sleeping next to the couch. She walked over and looked at him closely; there were faint shadows under his eyelashes, indicating he hadn't slept well in recent days. Not wanting to disturb him but knowing she couldn’t avoid it, she reached out to nudge him awake when suddenly, his eyes opened and met hers.

His clear eyes held a deep shimmer of ink that made her hand stop mid-air as her breathing halted abruptly.

"I don't have the strength, feed me," Rong Jing smiled weakly.

Yun Qianyue couldn't help stirring the medicinal soup with a spoon, scooped up a mouthful, blew on it to cool it down, and then offered it to him.

Rong Jing turned his head away and shook his head: "Not like this."

"Then how should I do it" Yun Qianyue was half a beat slower than usual.

Rong Jing turned back, his gaze falling on Yun Qianyue's lips.

Yun Qianyue suddenly blushed and lowered her head to scold: "This isn't your Yong王府, Zishu is still here!"

"He wouldn't be so tactless as to disturb us," Rong Jing continued to stare at her lips.

"Just drink it like this!" Yun Qianyue's face flushed; although they had been intimate several times, every time she was met with such an intimate moment, she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. That was just how Rong Jing was - he could make him an incredibly powerful presence in her eyes whenever they were together, tugging at the strings of her heart.

Rong Jing didn't say anything, only staring at her lips with a deep gaze, as if indicating that unless she did it this way, he wouldn't drink.

Yun Qianyue struggled for a moment before giving up. She took a sip of the bitter medicinal soup, lowered her head, and slowly covered his lips.

The two's breathing suddenly stopped; even the warm, cozy atmosphere in the room seemed to freeze together.

From beneath her lips came a feeling of warmth and softness. Perhaps due to feverish reasons, his lips which used to be cool were now somewhat hot, making Yun Qianyue not only feel her face flush but also her heart start to burn too.

A mouthful of medicine took the time it would take to drink a bowl of medicine.

Yun Qianyue pulled back, her face crumpled in displeasure, obviously having been bittered by the taste. "Why is this medicine so bitter" she complained. Then she glared at Rong Jing: "Where have you ever seen someone like you Aren't you afraid of passing your sickness to me"

"The Jade Crown Prince's medicinal herbs are indeed extremely bitter." Rong Jing's gaze was a misty haze, his lips a stunning red. "If I pass my illness to you, it'll perfectly fit that saying - us sharing joys and sorrows."

Yun Qianyue spat at him, looking at his luscious lips as she thought about how she couldn't bear such flirtatiousness; if she were to face this again, she might not be able to hold herself back. She pushed the bowl away and said, "Drink it yourself."

Rong Jing shifted his gaze from her face, seemingly understanding that he could no longer do as before. He silently reached out, took the medicine bowl and drank.

After drinking the medicine, Rong Jing lazily leaned against a soft couch. Yun Qianyue watched him, then pulled him over to lie down on the bed, removed his boots, socks, covered him with a quilt, and seeing that he was looking at her as warmly as sunshine, she smiled gently: "Sleep now! We're not in any rush to go back; rest well today. We'll return to the capital tomorrow."

“Mm!” Rong Jing answered softly, closing his eyes.

Yun Qianyue leaned against the headboard looking at him, thinking about how this person always had a way of making her heartache and tugging on her spirit. He was skilled in medicine but when he was feverish almost fainting before her, using such small tricks that he could instantly see through, yet she couldn't resist them. The most foolish actions were the simplest ones - they quashed all the rage in her, only to disappear.

“Yun Qianyue, I can’t sleep,” Rong Jing murmured softly.

"Hmm Aren’t you tired" Yun Qianyue looked at him.

"I want to hold you while sleeping," Rong Jing opened his eyes and reached out for Yun Qianyue. His voice was soft like dew under the sunlight, carrying a touch of freshness: "Only with you in my arms can I sleep. If it were a day or a year, it feels like I haven’t seen you for ages."

Yun Qianyue looked outside and saw that it was still bright; after the heavy snowfall, even though skies had cleared up but there was no sunshine, yet she could see sunlight in his eyes. Thinking of lying down with him during broad daylight, Zishu might tease her, but she seemed to long for him too much to care about others' opinions anymore. She quickly undressed and lay beside him.

As soon as she laid down, Rong Jing pulled her into his arms.

Lifting her gaze, Yun Qianyue saw a contented smile on his lips as he closed his eyes; his jade-like face was pure like a child who had just eaten candy. Where was the calm and collected demeanor that made people feel indifferent She sighed: Rong Jing, everyone could see how he used all means to make her completely at his mercy, unable to escape him. How couldn't she see it clear Because of seeing too clearly, she fell into him, never to pull herself out.

Shortly after, Rong Jing drifted off to sleep; lying in his warm and peaceful arms, Yun Qianyue also followed suit.

When Yun Qianyue woke up, Rong Jing was still asleep. She got up from the bed, pushed open the door, and smelled a delicious aroma of food. Remembering her promise to cook, she rubbed her forehead and called out: "Zishu!"

No one answered; Little Boy Li Ting just happened by, excitedly saying to Yun Qianyue: "Sister Yun, you’re awake Jade Brother is really great, he’s cooking for us!"

"He's cooking" Yun Qianyue was taken aback.

Li Ting happily said: "Yeah! Jade Brother said that after someone came, your eyes would only see one person and you might forget about us until we starve. So to ensure everyone wouldn’t go hungry, he took over for you."

Yun Qianyue blushed; thinking of the First Crown Prince, how could you be so unkind to otherst he lost his words. After a moment, he turned to Cloud King in anger and said: "What kind of daughter have you raised!""It is I who has raised such a good daughter! If she were not good, how could Yo...
